Always handy to have this list nearby and with this page we are helping other European drone companies to plan their drone productions safely.

In Germany, they use this handy map, which allows you to click on the European map for all the European airspaces, just so you have a backup. We are Kiwi Aerial Shots, a drone and helicopter company for high-end aerial cinematography. We have been flying drones for 15 years now, from small FPV drones, big heavy-lifters, DJI Inspire 3 drones up to custom build lighting drones with 2500W LED lights. We work on drone productions for commercials, full feature films, corporate videos, and are currently exploring the production world of immersive flying theater productions. We are an EASA-certified drone company, based in the Netherlands but we fly our drones all across the world. In Austria, the main Drone authority is Austro control. they have all the information about registering for you as a pilot, your drone and getting your drone certificate,
BELGIUM DRONE AUTHORItY FOD
In Belgium, the official Drone authority is the FOD Mobility and Transport (Federale Overheidsdienst Mobiliteit en Vervoer) Here you can find all the drone information about registering your drone and getting your drone certificate. Below you can also find the button to the Belgium No-fly zone map. Another not-official website that gives a great explanation about the Belgium drone regulations is the commercial website of DroneDepot. The website is in Flemish/Dutch so not interesting for English visitors unless Google Chome will translate the text for you.
BULGARIAN DRONE AUTHORIty
In Bulgaria, the Drone authority is the Ministry of Transport Information, Technology, and Communications. On their website, you can find all the drone information about registering your drone and getting your drone certificate. Below you can also find the button to the Bulgarian No-fly zone map.
CROATIAN DRONE AUTHORIty CCAA
The Croatian Drone authority is the CCAA, the Croation Civil Aviation Agency. On their website, you can find lots of drone information about registering your drone and getting your drone certificate. Below you can also find the button to the Croatian No-fly zone map.
Cyprus DCA DRONE AUTHORIty
The Department of Civil Aviation, in short the DCA is the leading authority for Airspace above Cyprus. Next to their general website they have a special and much better updated drone website that you can find at the ‘Drone and pilot registration’ button below. The button next to this leads to the No-fly zone map of Cyprus.
CZECH REPUBLIC DRONE AUTHORIty
The Czech Republic has a simple name as it comes to there airspace authority. It’s the Civil Aviation Authority Czech Republic, so a general CAA. Their website is not the easiest for European drone pilots but we did find a drone no-fly zone map for the Czech airspace that you can find in the button below.
Danish DRONE AUTHORIty DTBCA
The Danish airspace authority is the DTBCA which stands for The Danish Transport, Building and Construction Authority. Like other countries they have made a special website especially for drone users that you can find on the ‘Drone & pilot registration’ button below. They also have a really nice drone no-fly zone map so you knwo exactly where to go and where to stay away!
ESTONIAN DRONE AUTHORIty
In Estonia, the airspace authority goes under the name Transpordiamet. There website is in English and Rusian but I must say it’s not completely clear and updated yet. The same goes for the drone website and the drone no-fly zone map of Estonia. Let me kow if you have found better information so we can update the Estonian drone info.
FINNISH TraFicom DRONE AUTHORIty
The Finnish drone authority is Traficom. Like other countries they have build a special website for drone pilots where they can find all the information they need regarding flying a drone in Finland. Through the button below you can see the Finish special no-fly zone map to find exactly where you can and can not fly your drone.
French DRONE AUTHORIty
The Civil Aviation authority in France is the Ministere de la Transition Ecologique. Their website and the drone information they have is not hard to find but it’s also not crystal clear. Take your time and check the registration part of their website.
German DRONE AUTHORIty LBA
In Germany the main airspace authority is the Luftfarht-Bundesamt, the LBA. Through the button below you can find exactly who you can contact for each German state. Next to the LBA there is also the DFS, The Deutsche Flugsicherung which is responsible for air traffic control in Germany.
GreecE DRONE AUTHORIty HCAA
Officially Greece is the Hellenic republic and therefore there national airspace authority is called the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, the HCAA. They don’t have a separate drone website yet with drone legislation and a special website to register as a drone pilot but we did find some general information and the active no-fly zone map of Greece that you both can find through the buttons below.
HUNGARIAN DRONE AUTHORIty
In Hungary, you have the official aviation Authority Hungary’s General Directorate for Air Transport. Next to this government ministry, there is a private company Legter, that offers all the drone information and pilot registration for certificates and airspace information. Check the buttons below for all the Hungarian drone information.
ICELAND DRONE AUTHORIty ITA
In Iceland ther is the ITA, Icalandic Transport Authority. Its hard to find a drone no-fly zone map of the Icelandic airspace but the genarl rule is that you are not allowed to fly near the airport or in the capital Reykjavik and to stay away from crowdy tourists locations. you will see the no-drone signs on these locations as well. The rest of the island is pretty deserted and hard to make accidents. Contact the ITA for updated drone information.
IRISH Aviation Authority IAA
In Ireland, we have the IAA, the Irish Aviation Authority. They offer a clear website regarding drone rules and registering your drone and yourself as a drone pilot. They also offer a good no-fly zone airspace map that you can find through the button below.
Italian drone Authority
In Italy you have to deal with the ENAC, The Ente Nazionale Per l’Aviazione Civile. In English this is the Italian Civil Aviation Authority. They have a great drone website and you have to login to get to their drone no-fly zone map.
LATVIAN drone Authority LGS
The national aviation Authority in Latvia is LGS, Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme. This country is pretty leading when it comes to RPAS innovation and opening up their airspace for drones. Check the related websites for all further information.
drone Authority Lichtenstein LLV
Lichtenstein is a small country and although they have their own airspace authority, for most regulations you can also check Swiss websites like for the no-fly zone airspace map. The Lichtensteinsche Airspace authority is part of the ‘Amt fur bau und infrastruktur’. Check the official websites through the buttons below.
LithuaniaN drone Authority
In Lithuania, the National aviation authority is the: Lietuvos transporto saugos administraciją. In English that would be the Lithuanian Administration for Transport and Safety. They have a good website for drone users and clear no-fly zone map for the drone airspace. Check all the drone regulations through the buttons below.
drone Authority Luxembourg DAC
The drone authority in Luxembourg is the Luxembourg Directorate of Civil Aviation, DAC. They have a really good drone website and lots of people get their drone pilot certificates in this European country. The no-fly zone map you can find through the button below. Check the left side of the map to add extra airspace information to the map.
Maltese drone Authority CAD
In Malta the National Airspace Authority (the Malta Civil Aviation Directorate CAD, has a lot of information on their website regarding drones, all together on big drone page with contact information and helpful website links for amongst other things your drone pilot certificate. Only thing missing is a drone on-fly zone map. Malta is a small island so most important thing is to keep safe distance of the national airport, at least 4 kilometers. But for exact information check the CAD website.
DUTCH DRONE AUTHORItY IL&T
In the Netherlands, the main Drone authority is IL&T which stands in Dutch for Inspectie Leefomgeving & transport. In English, it’s called Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate. The Drone fly zone map in the Netherlands can be found on the GoDrone website that you will find below.
NORWEGIAN DRONE AUTHORItY CAA
The Norwegian airspace authority is the CAA, the Civil Aviation Authority Norway. They have lots of information on their website about drones and clear guidance for new drone pilots to register themselves and their drones. You can find the Norwegian NO-FLY zone map through the button below. On the right of that page, you have some options for layers like NOTAM information and controlled airspaces. Pick your information to get the right info and plan your Norwegian drone flight.
POLISH DRONE AUTHORItY ULC
The ULC in Poland stands for Urząd Lotnictwa Cywilnego which is the Polish national airspace authority. On their website, you can find all the information about local drone operations end the new European drone regulations. regarding the no-fly zone map from Poland, we couldn’t find the right map but we did find a Google map with no-fly zones. Check it out through the button below for some first information and let us know when you have found a better o-fly zone map for Poland.
portuguese DRONE AUTHORItY ANAC
The ANAC is the civil Portuguese airspace authority which stands for Autoridade Nacional de Aviação Civil. Next to the ANAC you have the APANT in Portugal. This is the authority that regulates the drone use in portugal. APANT stands for Associação Portuguesa de Aeronaves Não Tripuladas.
Romanian DRONE AUTHORItY AACR
The Romanian Civil Aviation Authority or AACR is the number one drone authority in Romania. As their website is not in English and Google won’t translate them automatically it’s hard to get to the right drone information for a foreign drone pilot. Through the buttons below you can get to the useful websites through which you can hopefully get the answers you need as a European drone pilot.
Slovakian DRONE Devision CAD
The Slovakian drone legislation is under control of the Slovakian Civil Aviation Division of the Transportation Office (CAD). It’s hard to find the right pages for the best drone information and Slovakian Airspace. Hopefully you will get there by using the buttons below.
SlovEnian DRONE Authority CAA
The CAA in Slovenia is the Civil Aviation Agency Slovenia. They don’t have really good English website and also the Slovenian drone information is pretty limited. It was hard to find the right no-fly zone map but found it and you can check it to the button below. Sorry we couldn’t find it for foreigners but please let us know when you have found it.
Spanish DRONE Authority AESA
The Spanish drone authority is the State Agency of Air Security (AESA). They have an extensive drone website with lots of information for both local as foreign drone pilots. Through the buttons below you can find all the information you need including the Spanish drone no-fly zone map of Drone Enaire.
Swedish DRONE Authority TAS
In Sweden, the national airspace authority that also regulated the drone rules is the Transport Agency of Sweden, TAS (Transport Styrelsen). This drone authority has an excellent website with lots of crystal clear information about operating a drone in Sweden. Check all the information and drone no-fly zone map through the buttons below.
SWISS DRONE Authority FOCA
In Switzerland, you have to deal with Switzerland’s national aviation authority, the Federal Office of Civil Aviation, FOCA. They have a lot of information about the new EASA drone regulations on their website. Registration of your drone and getting your drone pilot licence goes through SFCD drone registration. you can find their website and the Swiss no-fly zone map through the buttons below.
